MESSRS BXTAK AND HONTEK'S WEEKLT KEPORT. Horses — This week again our yards were crowded with horses, chiefly from Melbourne and Dunediu. They were> generally very fine animals, several fetching over £100; one was sold for £105. 84 of this class were disposed of during the week at figures such as £54, £GO, £72, £80, and £95. There are symptons of a decline, however, in the prices, and the demand does not continue so brisk. Light horses are not in much request Fat cattle— There was a fair supply, and prices were good. We quote bullocks at £16 5s to £17 12s 6d. Cows, £12 10s to £15 17 fid. Fat sheep— There were none really fat in the market. A few Hold at 22s 64 Dairy and store cattle were very scarce. Milch cows sold at £12 2s Cd to £14 10s. Stores, £8 to £9 10s. A lot of calves sold at £3 ss. Store sheep— One largo lot sold at 20a Pigs— None in the market — N. Z. Herald, April 9.
