Over-Sensational. — The " sensation 1" was carried a little too far at the Surrey Theatre in the production of a new drama, founded upon the once gieatly popular romance by Miss Jane Porter, "The Scottish Chiefs," Sir William Wallace (Mr Anderson) is brought to execution by, way of denument, when, to render the situation mote exciting, immediately after the axe has, fallen, a gory head, intended to be a striking resemblance of the actor, was raised by the executioner. Instead of creating a favorable demonstration, as' no doubt anticipated, the disgusting exhibition was met by the audience with an outburst such as it deserved, and which did not cease until Mr Aaderson appeared before tHe" curtain, with a promise that the offensive incident should be withdrawn in future representations.
