Star of the South, Captain Hodge, from Dunedin, arrived in this harbour on Monday afternoon last She sailed from Wellington on Tuesday afternoon, the 2nd inst, with 13G head of cattle; experienced fine weather, with fresh southerly and moderate north-east winds, and arrived at Dnnedin on Friday morning. She landed 135 head of stock, having lost only on head during the passage. Sailed from Dunedin on Saturday, arriving here as above. She sailed again on Tuesday evening for Lyttelton, with 140 head of cattle.
