AUCKLAND.

(feom our own correspondent.) November 25th, 1863. Gbeat changes siuce the date of my last, about which it is useless for me to write, as they are given in full in this day's Cross. The weather since the date of my last has been as bad as it could be for wind and rain ; but during the last tbree days, it has changed, and now the weather is glorious, and the news for all New Zealand is glorious too. One hundred and eighty-three prisoners! Nothing like it has occurred before in the history of New Zealand. They have uot yet arrived, but are expected in town to-day or to-morrow. They will be con-, , fined on board the Curogoa, wbich is being [ prepared for their safekeeping. We are all excitement here about war, and the Seat of Government question. Our Auckland folk are much annoyed about the latter, and using: every exertion to prevent its removal— four Nelson members, two Marlborough, and nine Wellington members bave coalesced togetber, sinking their respective claims, and voting for Cook's Strait, leaving one of three places to be selected by arbitration. Notwithstanding tbe exertions made by your Wellington directors of the New Zealand Steam Navigation Company, by placing their steamer Rangatira at the disposal of Auckland pleasureseeking folks, and getting up a public meeting, I fear very few shares will be taken. I expect the next great native news you will hear, will be that Cameron has arrived at the Royal village, hauled down tbe king's flag, and planted the British standard in its place, to float there for a thousand years I hope. The session is not likely to be over for a fortnight yet.
