The Bowden steam flour mill was burnt down last night. The mill was empty. It was mortgaged to the bank and not tenanted. The Council has passed the Debenture Bill and the second reading of the Appropriation. Markets quiet. Flour £12 to i)l3 per ton — no purchasers ; wheat 5s 2d to 5s 3d. Wednesday, Nov. 7. The Northern Territory Bill has been severely commented on by the council. The debate on its second reading was adjourned till to-morrow. Soloman sold to-day half the Amazon's cargo of sugar at £21 7s 6d to £32 ss. per ton. The Freak has cleared for Sydney, wit 2500 bags of flour. The Elphin stone reports finding a case of gunpowder branded " S. C. and Co., 672," in lat. 38 deg. S., lon. 37 degrees west. Thursday. Goode and Cussen, merchants, have called a meeting of creditors for to-morrow. In the Council, the Northern Territory Bill has 1 passed through committee. " It is expected that parliament will be prorouged next Thursday. Saturday. The supposed bushrangers have been discharged, from insufficient evidence.
