W. E, E. Brown v. Thomas Watson — The defendant, who charged as a Militia-man, with attending drill at the T<s Aro. Pah, in a state of drunken tiess, and with throwing down his arms aud otherwise behaviug insubordinately ou the 23rd day of October inst; the defendant was fined in the mitigated penalty of 20s and costs 11s Gd. Charles Mudgway was summoned to shew aause why he illegally impounded the cattle of Thomas Barrow. It appeared from the evidence of four wit nesses, that the cattle of Barrow had seriously damaged the growing crop of oats of Mudgway; estimating the damage at £i or £5, the Conrt therefore awarded £.% aud £1 Is 6d as compensation to Charles Mudgway for the damage done by Barrows' cattle. C. Stevens v. W. Sjott— Debt £98 Os 7|— -This, an adjourned case, had been left for arbitration at the request of the parties concerned; the onse was further adjourned to tke 3rd November.
