This was an action for th© purpose of assessing the amount of debt due by the defendant to the plaintiff, who is the surviving partner of J. Sfcayner, Insurance Broker, of London. The amount was laid at £6000. Mr Brandon appeared ou behalf of the plaintiff; Mr Borlase for the defendant, who was formerly in business iv Wellington. Verdict for MSOB 16s Bd, including three years interest. The Court then adjourned.
