IN pursuance of the Acts of the Provincial Council of Wellington, Session 9 No J. 5, intituled the '• Wellington Town Board Act," and Session 10, No 10, intituled the " Wellington Town Board Act, Amendment Act; " I Henry St. Hill, Returning Officer, appointed under the provisions of the said Acts, do hereby give notice that an election will be held for the return of Nine Commissioners who shall be a Board to carry into effect the provmons of the said Acts ; (that is to say, three Commissioners for each of the Wards of Thorndon, Lambton, and Te Aro ) : and that the nomination of candidates will take place on Monday, the seventh day of September next, at noon, at the Resident Magistrate's Court, Wellington, for the Thorndon Ward ; st the premises of Mr Plimmer, (opposite Barrett's Hotel,) for Lambton Ward; and at the Public Market Place of Messrs Bethune & Hunter for the Te Aro Ward ; and that the poll (if necessary) , will be taken on the following day, to commence at noon, and close at poub. o'clock on the same day Dated at Wellington, this fourteenth day of August. 1863.
