THE NEW SETTLEMENTS IN THE WAIKATO.
We subjoin from the Government Gazette the conditions on which the lands in the Waikato will be granted to Volunteers, Miliatiameu and others. Soanenhat similar terms are also offered to Military and Naval settlers.
As simultaneously with the publication of these regulations, Mr Bell has been despatched to Sydney to procure 2000 Volunteers, we ac cept these proceedings as an indication that a firm line of action is to be maintained until the subjugation of the Waikatos has been accom-j plished. I
Colonial Secretary's Office, I Auckland, 3rd August, 1863. 1 His Excellency the Governor has been^ pleased to direct the publication for general in-; formation, of the following conditions upon; which land situated in the Waikato District, 1 will be granted to Volunteer Militiamen in the Province or Auckland.
