JAPAN.
The Japanese authorities ask for ten days more time to consider the terms of the ultimatum. The native servants ar Yokohama were leaving the employ of foreigners and behaving disorderly. Merchants were transferiog their stores and valuables to the ships. The prospect of a peaceful settlement of the Japan difficulty , is considered very small.
