AUCKLAND LIVE STO«K MARKET.
Messrs. Styak and Hunter's Weekly Eeporx: — Horses. — There was a decided improvement this week in the show of light, harness, and saddle horses, which nearly all changed hands at fair prices, ranging from £9 to £'29 15s. Few heavy draught were offered, and sales were not effected in that class. Fat Cattle. — There was a fair supply of good quality in, and competition, as well as fully sustained prices, Bhowed that good stock rather increases in value. One lot of bullocks from the coast averaged £19 10s., and another £15 ss. We sold cows at £11 ss. to £15 15s. Fat Sheep. — The supply barely met the demand ; and prices, quality considered, were high— we sold at 25s to 435. Daily and Store Cattle.— There were some good dairy cattle brought forward, which sold at from £11 to £18 15s. Our yards were cleared of store stock ; cows sold at £6 7s Gd to £8 2s fid. Store Sheep. --None in the market. Fat and Store Pigs in good demand,, and all bought up, to £7 10s ; and several lota of young steers and heifers at £4 155., the former at 21s (id to £1 3s. — New Zealander, May 23.
