She will leave Duuedin, on the 19th inst, for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Nelson, calling at the intermediate places on the Coast; leave Lyttelton for Wellington and Nelson, on the Slst ; leave Wellington for Nelson, on or about the 22nd. STEAM SERVICE, PROVINCE OF CANTERBURY, NEW ZEALAND. nPENDERS are required by the Provincial Go_L vernment of Canterbury for the performancs of the undermentioned services : — 1. A Steamer to ply between Melbourne and Lyttelton, in Canterbury, arriving at Lyttelton • from the 25th to the SOth of every month. To remain in Lyttelton not less than 4.8 bours. To oarry all mails free. 2. A Steamer to ply between Lyttelton and Port Chalmers calling at Akaroa and Timaru (weather permitting) making a trip every fortnight. To carry Local and Australian Mails free. The Steamers to be employed to be snbject to tbe approval of the Provincial Government. ' , Tenders for the above service to state the sum at which the whole or any porrion will be undertaken. The penalties recoverable for non performance of contract will be not exceeding doable the amount of bonus for each trip not carried out according to contract. No penalties will bo enforced where delay is caused by circu-mstances which can be proyed to the satisfaction of the Provincial Government to be beyond the'control of the Contractor. •Tenders for No. 2 service to state the maximum Yate of freight at whioh passengers and goods will be carried. Contract to commence on the lst July ■next or such later date within one month as may be agreed upon,, and to be r terminable one year after commencement, after that time by 3 months notice on eiiher side. THE Revising Officer calls nttention to clause 25 of " The Registration of Electors' Act 1858/ " Wbere any person whose name appears on any List of Voters for nny district in respect of a household qualification, shall be objecled to on the ground of having changed his place of abode, or having ceased to occupy the particular tenement iv respect of Which his name appears on such list without having sent in a freah notice of claim, the Revising Officer shall retain tbe name of such person on the List of Voters, provided that such person, or some one on his behalf, shall prove that he possessed a household" qualification on the last day of April then next proceeding, and the particulars of his qualification, which the said Revising Officer shall insert in such-list." ___masi-mmimmammM^-mßßmnnmmm
