April 9, 1863. WEDNESDAY 27th MAY, 1863, PUBLIC SALE OF IMPORTED RAMS AND EWES, Ex Betty Pbiilbach, from Hamburg. MESSRS. BETHUNE & HUNTER have been favored with instructions from Messrs. KRULL & Co, to sell by Public Auction, at their Stock Yard, Manners Street, on Wednesday, the 27th May, at Two u'clock. 14 Imported Pure Bred RAMS 15 do do EWES Selected from the flock of Bar.m von Steinberg, in Meetzen in Mecklenburg. Each buyer will receive a pedigree, attesting the purity of the breed of these animals, which has been certified to by Her Britannic Majesty's Consul at Hamburg, W. Waddilove, Esq. Tbis consignment is part of the progeny of a flock of selected sheep, imported into Germany by Prince Jerome Napoleon, then King of Westphalia,[from the celebrated Farm of Rambouillet, and which were at the downfall of the first French empire, noquired by the father of the Baron von Steinberg. The purity of the breed has been sustained by judicious importations from Rambouillet, and is distinguished by largeness of carcass, length, and fineness of wool, admirably suited for combing purposes. The weight of fleece is very considerable. Animals from this flock have frequently carried off first class prizes at Cattle Shows in France and Germany, and it is a well attested fact that the young rams are in great demand by the owners of Saxony flocks, to keep up the breed of their sheep. The Auctioneers have every confidence in reeommeuding this importation to the notice of Flock Masters in New Zealand, a? they have been particularly selected for their hardiness and adaptability to a changeable climate, and, not being like most imported sheep stable bred, they will be found well able to stand rough weather, aud easily acclimatised. Not the least of their recommeudation is the ease with which they are maintained in condition on the most indifferent pastures, so that as a most profitable investment they will be found unequalled. The Terms of Sale will be most liberal. Exchange Buildings, Wellington, 27th April, 1863. "TTICTORIAN COMPANY'S SUGARS. T ■ ON SALE EX BETTY PERLBACH.
