Its operations will consist of Loans and Advances on Mortgage, upon real security in New Zealand, for which the system of Public Registration of Land established there affovds great facility, with perfect safety. The Coinpnny will also be prepared to make advances on securities of a substantial character, including those to Municipal Bodies upon thenBonds. It is notproposed that more than Mb shall ho called up on each £25 share (of which £2 will be sufficient for present purposes), but tlmt to the extent of the rema'niug £20 per Share, the Company suall exercise its borrowing powers for procuring money in Great Britain upon Debenturos for terms of years at a fixed rate of interest. This money will also be lent in the same manner as the Paid-up-Capital, aud the lenders will he protected both by the securities .taken and by the subscribed but uncalled Capital, which will itself be equal to the entire I amount borrowed. ■ New Zealand offers peculiarly favorable oppor. tunities f«r operations of the nature proposed ; the , prosperity of the Settlers euables them to enjoy with profit large sums of money at rates of interest considerably higher than those ordinarily current in England ; the simplicity of the local Laws affecting real estate affords a safe and inexpensive mode of granting security; and property is of steadily improving value, as the energies of the Colonist, the increase of population, and the resources of the Colony itself become further developed. These circumstances, aud the successful operations of Companies of this description in other Colonies, justify the Pirectors in anticipating an j amply remunerative return to Shareholders. TO BE LET.
