C. MoKelvey v Thomas White — A remanded case; prisoner charged with an indecent assault ; the complainant a young girl about thirteen was deeply affected, and could not be induced to answer the questions of the Court ; the Court therefore discharged the prisoner, and the complainant was committed for 48 hours for contempt of Court in not answering the questions put to her. Samuel Haigh was charged with driving cattle through the streets at illegal hours ; the information was dismissed and the defendant cautioned. T. Winkley was fined 5a and 6s 6d costs for having his chimney on (ire. S. Stockbridge v J. Syraons- -Damages L 2, by cattle trespass : a tender of 12s and 10s costs was made and accepted. James Parker v John Till — Assault ; no appearance. Win. Clark v Thomas White — Felony ; charge dismissed. Monday, April 27th. Knight v G. H. Luxford— Debt Lll 5a 6d. Judgment for L 9 17a 6d and 15s costs. Mary A. Kennedy v Charles Cottle — Claim L 9 ss. Judgment for LI 5s without costs. D. Cormack fined 10s for drunkenness. W.
