IMPORTANT TO SHEEP FARMERS AND FLOCK OWNERS. rj^HE UNDERSIGNED beg to anuounce that 1 they have received advice of the shipment, in the Betty I'ertbach, @ Hamburg, now due, of a consignment consisting of 15 Rams and 15 Ewes, selected from the flock of the Bar-jn von Steiuberg, in Meetzen in Meoklenburg. The instructions from the Consignors are, POSITIVELY to sell these Sheep by PUBLIC AUCTION, immediately upon arrival, and without the SLIGHTEST RESERVE. These instructions will be rigidly anhered to. Each buyer will receive a pedigree, attesting the purity of the breed of these animiils, which has been certified to by Her Brittanic Majesty's Consul at Hamburg, W. Waddilove, Esq. The Terms. of Sale will be most liberal. The undersigned beg to observe that this con- I signment is part of the progeny of a flock of selected j SUeep, imported into Germauy by Prince Jerome Napoleon, then King of Westphalia, from the oele. brated Farm of Rnmbouillet, and which were at the downfall of the first French empire, acquired by the father of the Baron von Steinberg. The purity of the breed has been sustained by judicious importations from Rnmbouillet, and is distinguished by largeness of carcass, length, and fineness of wool, admirably suited for combing purposes. The weight of fleece is very considerable. Animals from this flock have frequently carried off first class prizes at Cattle Shows in France and Germany, and it is a well attested fact that the young rams are in great demand by the, owners of Saxsny flocks, to keep up the breed of their sheep. The undersigned have every confidence in re- - eominending this importation to the nutice of Flock Masters in New Zealand, &c they have been particularly selected for tbeir hardiness >. and adaptability to a changeable climate, and,' not being like most imported sheep stable bred, they will be found well able to stand rough weather, and easily acclimatised. Not the least of their recommendation is the ease with which they are maintained in con- j dition on the most indifferent pastures, so that as a most profitable investment they will be found unequalled. KRULL &.CO. Plimmer's Wharf, March 27, 1803. NOTICE. riIHE ANNUAL MEETING of the Rate-payers L of the Pahautanui Small Farm District, will be held at Mr Boulton's Inn, on Wednesday evening, the 13th May next, at six o'clock, for the purpose of fixing the amount of rates for the ensuing year and other business.
