IMPORTANT TO SHEEP FARMERS AND FLOCK OWNERS. r|M-lE UNDERSIGNED beg to announce that 1 they have received advice of the shipment, in the Betty Pertbach, @ Hamburg, now due, of a consignment consisting of 15 Rams and 15 Ewes, selected from the flock of the Bar m von Steinberg, in Mcetzcn in Meoklenburg. The instructions from the Consignors are, POSITIVELY to sell these Sheep by FUBLIC AUCTION, immediately upon arrival, and without the SLIGHTEST RESERVE. These instructionswill be rigidly anhered to. Each buyer will receive a pedigree, attesting the purity of the breed of these animals, which has been certified to by Her Brittanic Majesty's Cousul at Hamburg, W. Waddilove, Esq. The Terms of Sale will be most liberal. The undersigned beg to observe that this consignment is part of the progeny of a flock of selected sheep, imported into Germany by Prince Jerome Napoleon, then King of Westphalia, from the cele. brated Farm of Kambouillet, and which were at the downfall of the first French empire, acquired by the father of the Baron von Steinberg. The purity ! of the breed has been sustained by judicious impor- j tatfons from Rnmbouillet, and is distinguished by largeness of carcass, length, and fineness* of wool, ! admirably suited for combing purposes. The weight of fleece is very considerable. Animals from this flock have frequently carried off first cluss prizes at Cattle Shows in France aud Germany, and it is a well attested fnct that the young rams tire in great demand by the owners of Saxony flocks, to keep up the breed of their sheep. The undersigned hnve every confidence in recommending this importation to the notice of Flock Masters in New Zealand, as> they have been particularly selected for their hardiness and adaptability to a changeable climate, and, not being like most imported sheep stable bred, they will he found well -able to stand rough wea'.Ler, and easily acclimatised. Not the least of their recommendation is the ease with which they are maintained iv condition on the most indifferent pastures, so that as a most profitable investment they will be found unequalled.
