Fat Cattle.— Few have been yarded during tht week, and these must have left a loss to the shipper. The retail price is from Is 4d t» Is 6d. From the great accession to our interior production, we fully expect to see much higher prices ruling during the next 6 months for all classes of fat stock, which are at present by no means plentiful. v . .

Houses.— The ;beginning of the week opened briskly for the disposal of the lighter description of horses. We presume the races influenced the prices obtained: On Wednesday, Thursday, and . Friday, ; (the race days) we attempted no sales by auction, and any private sales we made, need not be quoted as a criterion as the market value of horses. Today, (Saturday) we had the yard overstocked with a middling: class, and sold out of 70 entries 47 head at an advance of about 15 per cent, on last week's quotations. TheOmeo arrived on Monday with .some very fine draughts, but the demand for this class being so brisk, the owners have sold privately at satisfactory prioea, leaving only, the medium, sixed oneß to be offered by auction. By the arrival of the Der Sud and Indiana, we ftave some fair Stock to offer the beginning of the week, and are satisfied ptices will rate higher than has been the case for a considerable time. .We quote markat value of horses — • ' Heavy draught Horses, Ist class £80 to 100 Medium do .. ... 40 to 05 First-class light harness do. • 45 to 60 Second class do. ... 20 to 40 First'clasn cobs and hacks about 50 Middling and inferior horses from 15 to 30 Weight, Robeutsoh & Co., „ .
