The b.s. Storm Bird, Captain Mundle, from the north, arrived in this harbor yesterday afternoon, at half- past 4 o'clock. She sailed from Manukau on Saturday, the 7th March, at noon, arrived at Taranaki the following morning, at 9 o'clock. Left again at 5 p.m., and arrived at Nelson at noon on the 9 th. Left Nelson on the 10th at noon, arrived at Picton at 1 a.m., on the 11th ; left at 9 a.m., and arrived here as above. Experienced fine weather throughout.

The s.B. Queen, Captain Robertson, from Auckland via Napier, arrived in this harbor on Tuesday last, at midnight. She sailed from Auckland on Thursday, the 6th March, at 2 p.m., arrived at Napier on the Bth, at 4.30 p.m. Left Napier on the 9th, at 3.30 p.m., and arrived hero as above.. She experienced strong S.S.E winds from the Kidnappers to Cape Palliser, and a high sea. Capt Robertson reports having spoken the French whaling ship Winslow, of Harvre, off East Cape, standing off and on, her boats being on shore trading or getting water. Also having seen a full rigged ship standing in to Hioks' Bay, but was not sufficiently close to speak her. She seemed to be in company with the other vessel.

The schooner Ada, Capt. G. W. Olark, arrived, in this harbor on Tuesday morning, from Lyttelton, having Bailed from that port on Saturday last at 5 o'clock,

The s.s. Storm Bird sighted no vessels on her upward trip. She entered the Manukau by a different channel to that taken by the ill-fated Orpheus, but reports, from hearsay, that portions of the wreck are still visible. Saw a dead body upon the rocks just inside the harbor.—' Southern Cross,' Ist inst. H.M. s.s. Harrier left the Manukau for Taranaki on Tuesday morning, crossing the bar at 8 o'clook. His Excellency the Governor was on board, aocompanied by General Cameron, Hon. Mr Domett, Hon. Mr Dillon Bell, Major McNeill, Captain Bulkeley, Mr Seed (private secretary to his Excellency), John Hobbs, and Ja native interpreter. His Excellency and staff embarked about 8 o'clock on Monday afternoon, and she loft her anchorage at 4, coming to an anchor inside the bar during the night. On Tuesday morning it was blowing a gale of wind in Onehunga, but at the heads it was quite calm.— a similar circumstance ia not within the reoollection of the oldest inhabitant. — Ibid.
