NEW CALEDONIA.

We are in receipt of the Moniteur of New Caledonia up to the 19th ultimo. The Governor, M. Guillain, accompanied by M. le Chef dv Service dv Cadastre, left the Port of France or. the 18th ofOctoher, on board the steam ship Coetlogon, to visit the south and south western coasts of New Caledonia. At a court, held on the Bth of the same | month, Jean Berteau, a private in the first company of the Colonial Corps, was condemned to ten years hard labor on the public works for having broken into an inhabited house, and there stolen certain articles during the night. The theatre is open every Sunday evening, and would appear to be extensively patronised. 1 he contents of the Monteur are! chiefly r reclamations and decrees respecting land, of no interest or importance except to those personally concerned. — Sydney Herald, Nov. 14.
