Hurley, from Sydney the 16th instant, arrived in port this morning at half past nine o'clock after a quick passage of nine days, bringing intelligence of the arrival of the European September Mail in Sydney. The Marchioness experienced light weather and fine during the whole of the passage across, never having occasion to take in her royals until she reached the Straits. Passengers per Marchioness, from Sydney : — Mr. and Mrs. Tucker, and ,five children, Miss Molgrew. The following is the manifest per Marchioness, Krull & Co., agents, — 2 cases cigars, Order ; 1 pkge tombstone, W. Lyon ; 3 carboys acid, C. D. Barraud ; 1 case, Rev. W. Watkiu ; 125 cases geneva, 1 pkge tea, 150 cases oilman's stores, 54 boxes candles, Krull Se Co. ; I baker's cart, 8 drays, G. Crawfoid ;30 pkgs, 50 pkgs, 35 pkgs, for Lyttelton ; 20 chests tea, 30 boxes, 3 pkgs, 12 boxes tea, 28 pkgs, Order ; 68 pkgs, W. Cheswick & Co. The arrival of the Mail was telegraphed from Adelaide to Sydney on the llth inst, and the Northam anived in Sydney on the evening of the 14th. Captain Hurley passed the s. s. Rangatiri about 250 miles to the westward of Cape Farewell. The s.s. Prince Alfred left Sydney on the 15th instant, for Nelson, Picton, Wellington, and Southern Ports, with the European Mail. •The s.s. Lord Ashley sailed the same day for Auckland. Mr. Walter Turnbull was a passenger by the Northam. \ Tbe A S.N Company's City of Sydney has been unfortunately wrecked on Green Cape, Twofold Bay. No lives were lost. The weather was fine and a moonlight night.
