Sydney, Empire Office, Thursday Oct. 30. Produce Report. — All kinds have come forward during the week on a very limited scale ; and, as far as wool is concerned, the season cannot be said to have commenced. At Messrs. Mort and Cos., sale to-day, there were only 5 bales of washed wool offered, and these were withdrawn. The only wools sold consist of 4 pockets of mixed and greasy wool, which realised B£d to 12d per lb. Sheepskins : Upwards of 4000 were offered and disposed of. Tho various lots comprised some parcels of free heavy, woolled skins, which brought 7|d. perlb. ; other good skins sold for G£d. to 6|d. ; and inferior for s|d. to 6d. per lb. Tallow : 33 casks and 80 paunches of tallow were offered, and the whole sold at extreme prices — good beef bringing ±'36 to £36 55., and inferior to ordinary qualities from. £34 2a. 6d. to £35 7s. 6d. per ton. Hides : 753 were catalogued but very few were sold, there being less disposition to purchase than was exhibited last week. Only 1 22 hides of inferior quality were disposed of at 7s. 9d. to Bs, each. Horns sold for 10s. per 100, and shank bones at £0 per ton. Mr. Ebsworth's sale comprised only 11 bales of wool, of which 7 bales in grease realised 9|d., and 2 bales of clean Northern fleece, seedy, 15|d., per lb. ; 2 odd bales of locks and mixed sold respectively for (ss d. and 8£ per lb. A parcel of good sheepskins sold for 7d., and a small lot for 6$ per lb. Tallow: 18 casks of inferior tallow were actively competed for by trie local trade, and sold for 345, 6d. to 353, 6 d, per cwt.
