Aldinga left Port Chalmers on the 23rd ult., and struck on a lock, 20 miles eastward of the Bluff. She then proceeded as far as Solander Island, but finding she was making so much water, she put back to the Bluff, and a small sailing vessel brought up the mails, which were forwarded by the City ot Hobart, whioli sailed on the 28th for Melbourne.
