These Sheep are of the purest Saxon blood, selected partly out of a Saxon Electoral NegreUi Flock, which has been many times awarded prizes at Agricultural Exhibitions in Berlin, Dresden, Leipsig, Munich, and other places ; partly out of a Saxon Escurial Negretti Flock, belonging to His Excellency the President of Crosi^k. The la:ter floclc descends from the celebrated sheep of Rothschonberg and from the royal flock of Lohmen both of Saxony. r I he average weight of clean -washed Wool of full grown animals is four pounds for a Ewe, and fully seven pounds for a Ram. The selection was made with due regard to head and legs being woolled, as well as to the closeness and fineness of staple, as much as this could be combined. AFTER WHICH, 60 Rams, fifteen months old, the produce of pure Merino Bams, imported from Germany in 1860 for the Otaki School Establishment out of Ewes the produce of- Ranis imported hy Mr. Beauchamp.
