The latter flock descends from the celebrated sheep of Rothschonberg and from the royal flock of Lohmen both of Saxony. Ihe average weight of clean-washed Wool of full. grown animals is four pounds for a Ewe, and fully seven pounds for a Ram. The selection was made with due regard to head and legs being woolled, as well as to the closeness and fineness of staple, as much as thie could be combined. AFTCH WHICH, 60 Rams, fifteen months old, the produce of pure Merino Rams, imported from Germany in 1860 for the Otaki School Establishment out of Ewes the produce gof Rams imported by Mr. Beauchamp.
