The latter flock ascends from the royal flock of Lohmen, both of Saxony. Ihe average weight of clean-washed Wool of full-grown animals is four pounds for a Ewe, and fully seven pounds for a Ram. The selection was made with due regard to head and legs beiug woolled, as well as to the loseness and fineness of staple, as much as this could be combined. also, 60 Rams, the produce of German Rams, imported for the Otaki School Establishment in 1860, out of Ewes the produce of Rams imported by Mr. Beauchamp.
