EXTENSION OF THE MONEY-ORDER SYSTEM TO NEW ZEALAND.
J. On the Ist of May, aud thenceforward, money-orders will be issued by all money-order oilices in ihe United Kingdom vu the undermentioned places in New Zealand, at a charge of Is. for any sum not exceeding' £2 ; 2s. for any sum iiUuve £'2 and not exceeding £o ; 3s. for any sura above £5 and not exceeding £7 ; and 4s. for any sum above £7 and not exceeding £10 ; beyond which latter sum no single money order will be issued. From the above date money orders will also be issued, for any sum not exceeding- .£lO at lbe undeimentioned places i» New Zealand on any money order office in the United Kingdom. 2. The issue of money orders under this arrangement will be in all lespects on the same conditions as those which regulate their issue by one oftke on another in the United Kingdom except that, in consequence ol the distance between the United Kingdom &New Zealand, an intei val of six instead of two mouths will be allowed after the issue of an order in one country payable in ihe other, before such older will become 1.-ipsed. 3. For the renewal in the United Kingdom of a lapsed ordei, for the issue there of a duplicate order, or for the stoppage there of payment of an order, application must he made to the coniroler of the metropolitan office of that part of the Kingdom (England, Trelaud or Scotland) in which order is payable- In the case of lapsed orders, an additional inland rate of conimibsion will be deducted from the amount of the new order, and tbe lapsed order must be transmitted with the application for renewal. In the other cases an udditiouul inland commission must accompany the application. If transfer of pay. ment from one office to another office in the United Kingdom be required, application should be made to the money ordei office at ,vbich the order is payable, the order being forwuitled with such application. Tbe additional inland commission in this case will be deducted fiom the new order. 4. For repayment of tluj amount of a money order, ov for the correction of ai y cnor respect ting the name of the payee or remitter, application, accompanied with an additional inland rate of commission, must be made to the controller of the metropolitan office oi the country in which the order was issued. 5. As all advices of colonial money orders must pass through the metropolitan offices of this country smd of tbe colony iv which the ovdeis are issued ov have to be paid, unavoidable delaj in payment must in some instances arise," since such advices may occasionally mrive in the United Kingdom, or in the colony, one post after the orders have reached their destination.
