BATION. The ration to consist of Blbs. Maize or Oats, 4ibs. Bran, 121bs Hay, and 41bs Wheaten or Oaten Straw. The conditions of Contract, will be the same in every particular, as these published in the Wellington Independent newspaper, of the 24th December. 18#1. Ten, Salt Pork, Salt Beef, Flour, Suet, Currants, Rniains, Musiard, Pepper, Lemon Juice, and Mixed Vegetables, at per pound each — Rum, Split Peas Oatmeal, Sperm Oil, and Vinegnr, at per Imperial Gallon each. The whole of the above articles to be included in one tender, and delivered on board ship, (free from any extra charg»), at such times, and in such quantitias as may be directed by the Commissariat, lv proper packages such as are usually provided for tke Naval Service. Articles specially imported or taken out of Bond for this service will be free from Colonial Duties. CONDITIONS. All supplies to be subject to the approval of the Senior Commissariat Officer, orjperson appointed by him for that purpose, and if rejected, other supplies of a satisfactory nature are to be at once substituted, failing which the Commissariat to have the power of purchasing at the expense of the Contractor, and it is to be clearly understood, that the supplies are not to be considered as finally accepted until received on board ship. All tlie articles to be of the best marketable quality of their several kinds. . Payment will be made monthly, on the eompJe-' tion of the proper vouchers by the Contractor. Each tender to bear tbe signature of two ap. proved sureties for the fulfilment of the Contract.
