GOVERNMENT NOTICES. COMPENSATION. THE Provincial Council having appointed a Committee to receive any claims to Compensation which might have been preferred under the Act of Council^ Session 3, No. 12, but which owing to accident, ignorance, or other cause, were not sent in, or not adjudicated upon within the prescribed time, and to report thereon in detail to the Council, all persons having such claims are requested to send them in on or before Tuesday, the 20th inst., to " the Chairman of the Compensation Committee," Council Chamber, Wellington. Particular notice is requested to the terms of this notice, as no claims which have been before preferred and reported upon by the late Commissioners will be * received, By order of the Committee, J. I^T OTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the IN Circuit Court of the Supreme Court for the Middle District of New Zealand, for the dispatch of Civil and Criminal Business, will be holden at the Conrt House, in the Provincial Government Buildings, at Wellington, on Monday, the second daj of June next, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, purBuant to Proclamation ; at which time and place nil persons bound by recognizances, Prosecutors, Witnesses, or Defendants, are required to give theii attendance. Notice is hereby further given that the Civil Causes will not be oalled on for trial until Monday, the 9th day of June next, at 10 o'clock a.m., to which time the Sittings of the said Circuit Court will be adjourned after the conclusion of the Criminal business. The Contractor to take the Mails from the Post Ofiice, in Wellington, at 2 p.m., everj Monday and deliver them at the Post Office, Wanganui, on the following Wednesday, ai 3 p.m. 2nd. To start from Wanganui for Wellington, at 12 O'clock noon, on every Thursday, delivering the Mails in Wellington, at 11 a.m., on the following Saturday. 3rd. To take up and deliver Mails at the Posi Offices, at the following intermediate places, viz. — Turakina, Eangitiki, Upper Eangitiki, Manawatu, Otaki, Waikanae, and Pahautanui, 4th.
