WHEREAS by Aot of the Provincial Council of the Province of Welling^, ton, Session 1)1. No. 4. entituled "An Act to consolidate the law relating to District Highways/ It was enacted among other things that the Superintendent might for the purposes of the said Act, from time to time by Proclamation, divide the Province or any part thereof into Districts, and might in like manner sub-divide, alter, or re-unite the same. \ . And Whereas it is expedient to proclaim the portion of the province hereinafter mentioned to be a distriot for the purposes of the said Aot : Now thereforeI, Isaac Earl Feathbrston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, fn virtue of the power and authority yes- . ted in me in this behalf, do hereby pro* claim and declare that the block of land hereinafter comprised within the following boundaries, viz ; — -the Eastern boundary of the proposed Brunswick Distriot, - will be from the intersection of the Waitotara and middle lines along the middle. line to the line dividing the properties of Stephen Newport, and John Col villii, being the dividing line of Sections Nos, 1 15 and 1 16, thence East along the Mohan au Stream to the North-west oorner of the Native Reserve, Ngature, ihenoV straight to the Survey pole on Mount Stafford, thence a continuation of the same line to the boundary of the parehased block.— The Northern boundary of the District will be from thence along the boundary of the purohased block to the Kai-iwi, thence down the Kai-iwi to the Western boundary of the purohased block, thence along the said boundary to a swampy stream dividing the lands^of Hewett and Wicksteed , thence to the Victoria line,thenoe south to the Mowhanau stream, thence up the stream to the Hue lying between and paralell to the Vie-" toria and Great Western Jifjfes, thenoe South to the Waitotara line, fhetice to the intersection of Waitotara and middle lines shall form and constitute a Distriob- fojr the purposes of the District Highway* Act and shall be called the "Bransyriok District." » *' Given under my hand arid issued under the Publio Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this.
