COMMISSARIAT. Wellington, 18th February, 1862. HPENDERS in duplicate will be received at this JL Office until noon of Saturday, the 22nd instant, /or the supply of Rations to Military Prisoners confined in the Garrison Cells at Wellington. The Rations to consist of the following articles which are to be of the best description . No. 1 Ration. No. 2 Ration. 8 ozs. Oatmeal 8 ozs. Oatmeal 1J lbs. Bread 8 " Bread 1 oz. Salt 1 " Salt £ " Soap- J " Soap 1£ pints Milk 1 pint Milk No. 3 Ration. 8 ozs. Meat 6 ozs. Oatmeal 1 lb. Potatoes 15 " Bread 4 ozs. Onions 1 " Salt No. 4 Ration. 4 " Soap 1 lb. Bread 1£ pints Milk £ oz. Soap The Contract to commence on tie Ist April next, and terminate on the 31st March, 1863. The Supplies to be delivered to the Provost or other Sergeant in charge of the Prison upon his requisition. The Officer in charge, or person appointed by him to have the power of rejecting any article of- [ fered, and if proper supplies are not immediately substituted, to purchase at the expense . of the Contractor. Each tender must fcontain the four rations, and state the price for each of the four. Payment will be made monthly in the usual manner, by the Commissariat, on production of proper vouchers. Deliveries in packages of suitable sizes to be made to the Quarter Master, or Acting Quarter Master of Corps or Detachment daily, at such times and places as may be decided by the Commissariat. Articles specially imported, or taken out of Bond for this service, will be free from Colonial Duties. The Terms and Conditions will be the same as those for the Annual Contracts, publishad in the " Wellington Independent " Newspaper, of the 24th December, 1861. Any further information that may be required, with forms of tender, will be supplied on application at this Office.
