The s.s. Wonga "Wonga, Captain Benner, from Nelson via Picton, arrived in this barbour ou Friday afternoon last. She brought the November European mails, which were transhipped froic the Airedale at Nelson. The Airedale armed at Nei. eon on Thursday, the 23rd hist., at noon, having left Sydney Heads at 5 30 p.m. on the I6th, nnd encountered head winds throughout the passage. The Wonga Wonga left Nelson on the 23rd nt 8 p.m., called at Forsyth Island, and arrived at Picton at 8.30 a.m. on the 24th ; left IMcton at 11 a.m. the same day, called at Bowden's station and took in wool, and armed here at 6.30 p.m., after a quick passage of 7 hours, including detention. Slie left here yesterday forenoon for Castle Point and Napier, witb the English mail. The s.s. Storm Bird, Captain Mundle, sailed for Wanganui, vr ith the .English November mails yesterday afternoon. This vessel has lately undergone a thorough overhaul, and is now in a most efficient state of repair. It will be seen by the Time Table of the W.S.N.C. that it is intended to despatch both their boats to Otago next month, one on the 3rd, and the other ok the 1 7th.
