NOTICE.

The Public aie hereby informed tbat' his Excellency's Government have it in contemplation to do away with that portion of the preseut Postal System, which allows of Inland letters being forwarded paid or unpaid at the option of the sender. It is intended that from the Ist April next, all letters shall be prepaid and with Stamps only. Negotiations are also pending with the Imperial Government for the establishment of a syntem of Post Office Money Orders, between New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and should such negotiations be completed in time, the Post Offices of Wellington and Wanganui will be iv a position- to issue such orders from'the Ist April next.
