[From the Provincial Government Gazette.] MILITIA.

BY VIRTUE and in exercise of the authority in me vested, I, James C.outts Crawford, Senior Captain Commanding the Wellington Battalion of Militia, do hereby appoint and declare that the said Battalion shall be formed into Six Companies, as follows, viz. :— No. ICompany. To comprise all those liable to serve as Militiamen, whose places of abode for the time, being are— . „ Within a line, commencing at the seaward .end of . .Charlotte-street, at. fhe Northern end of the Government House Reserve; thence North-Eastward along the, shores of the Harbour atj highi syater, mark,; past Kai- warra- warra to the division between sections 4 and 5

Harbour District; thence in a NorthWest direotion along the said division to the South corner of No. 1 Section, Kinapoura District j thence along the Southern boundary ofthe same (being the division between the Kinapoura and Kai-warra-warra Districts) to the- summit of the Otare range; thence South-Wes-terly along the said ridge to where the Maori path crosses the same ; thence in I a straight line in a Southerly direction to ! the Kai- warra- warra stream atthe South- | West oorner of No. I Section, Kai-warra-warra District; thence ascending the. course of the said stream, in a Southerly direction, to the Southern boundary of Soetion 32, Karori District ; thence in an Easterly direction along the said boundary and of Section 29, to the division between Sections f 2S and 29 of the said distiict; thence in a Northerly direction along the said division td ; the Karori -road; thence along the centre W ' the Karoii-road to its' junction with tho Tiuakori-road ; thenCe along the centre; ! * of the Tinakori-road to injunction with' Glenbervie-terrace ; therioe along 5 the "' oentre of Glenbervie-terrace to its June-' tion with Sydney-street; thence. along the centre of Sydney-streqt to its junction ' with Molesworth and Charlotte-streets ; thence along the centre of Charlottestreet to the commencement.
