Registration of Electors Act 1858, c.20, provides that where any person whose name appears on any List of Voters for any District in respect of a household qualification, shall be objected to on the ground of having changed his plac» of abode, or having ceased to occupy the, particular tenement in respect of which his name appears on such List, without having sent in a fresh notice of claim, the Revising Officer shall retain the nam* of such parson on the List of Voters, provided that such person ■ or some one on his behalf, shall prov« that he possessed a household qualification oh the last day of April then next preceding, and shall also supply his true place of abode, and the particulars of his qualification, which the said Revising Officer shaU insert in such List.
