England's Hope was bred by Walter Long, t Esq., M.P., of Rood Ashton, Wilts, was got by his celebrated Punch' Horse Hero, out of a Clyde Mare. Hero won the first prize in June, 1853, at the Bath and West of England Show, he was purchased by Clement Champeney, Esq., of Theale Wiedmore, Somerset, where he again took the first prize at Exeter.
