The want of care and attention in packing wool in this Colony acts prejudicially to the interests of growers — the long and short stapled, and even the washed arid; unWashed, often being thrown indiscriminately together makes it exceedingly difficult, if riot itnpcrssible to estimate correctly its real value, and renders it unfit for the trades for which this otherwise favorite wool is so well adapted. With the abundant supply of water which every where abounds in this Colony, New Zealand wool ought to : .fee. the best got up of any from Australia ; as it is, it is the worst. . ' :'-;' mi /v

In many instances ordinary attention to soring being neglected. From which province the particular wools complained of were received, we do not know , but evidently New 'Zealand is looked upon as a whole, and the sins of single flock-owners are visited upon all the class.
