The last sales of the year coturaenced oq the Bth of November, the arrivals to that date con* sisting; of— Australian, 4758 bales ; Port Philip, 4660 bales; Adelaide, 1 162 bales 5 Van Diera en's Land, 2028 bales; New Zealand, 4152 bales; Swan River, 6a bales; Cape, 20,004 bales 5 total, 36.849 bales ; which number will be increased by about 6000 bales of wools held over and those in second hands, ' Notwithstanding the advance in the Bankrate to 6 per cent, the first day of tins Series the attendance of home buyers was vejy, Jattje and an animated demand existed for 'q]\ descriptions at an average advance of \d.
