' ', ; 2nd. — The Contractor must have constantly on hand in Wellington a stock sufficient; for 14 days consumption, from which alone the issues are to be made; this stock is to be, deposited in some convenient yard or spot in or near the town, to be approved of by the Undersigned, or his successor in office; the wood to ba always subject to the inspection of the Senior Commissariat Officer, oi other person appointed by him for that duty, and any portion objected to at such' inspection' must be immediately removed and replaced by an article of a satisfactory description, failing 'which, the Commissariat to have the power of purchasing at the expense of the Contractor; it being under stood however, that the supplies are not to be considered as finally accepted, until' actually received by the Troops or others entitled to receive them. : 3rd. — Each Tender to be accompanied by a statement signed by two approved persons becoming securities for the due performance of the Contract, should the Tender bo accepted, the penalty in each case will be the estimated amount of three months contract. 4th — No transfer of a Contract will be permitted without the previous consent of the Undersigned, or his successor in office. sth. — In the event of the Contractor having a portion of his supply condemned three times during any one calendar month, it shall be optional with the undersigned, or his successor in office, to end the Contract at onca, and to enforce the penalty of \hs bond. 6ch. — The Contractor to prepare, his own account monthly, according to the prescribed form, and on producing the same, with the requisite Voucheis, in a complete state at this office, he will receive payment by means of a Bill upon the Lords Commissioners of Hsr Majesty's Treasury, at par, when the amount, is £0 or upwards — when under that sum payhi?nt will be made in cash. 7th. — A Tender occi sent in cannot be withdrawn or altered.
