She put into Port Hardy on Monday, and sailed a^ain on Wednesday, and was again compelled to seek shelter in Queen Charlotte's Sound the same night. On- Thursday morning ah« Bailed again for Wellington, and arrived in this harbour about sun-down. We have to thank the Officers for their courtesy in furnishing us with late Taranaki papers, extracts from which will be found in to-day's issue. The news its of an unimportant character. The Airedale sailed for Nelson and Wellington the same day a.% the Fawn, being filled with refugees, who were to ..he lan.led at Nelson. We understand ehe has come on here to ship two 8-inch guns and a 'quantity of ammunition, from the Pelorus, when ". >he will return to Taranaki. COMMERCIAL.

Ix our Monthly Summary for Europe and Australia, published in our last, we commented very fully upon the Commercial affairs of this province, and have now nothing to add : but the alteration of the time of closing the Mail from to-day until to-morrow, at 12, has enabled ua to give the latest prices current.

In the last paragraph of the Commercial Report an erratum is necessary. Instead of " the military are taken into account," it should read " the military are not taken into account."
