His Honor Mr Justice Joiinstome (the Resident Puisne Judge) presided. After the usu tl preli uiuaries had been gone through, the following gentlemen were sworn as Grand Jurors, viz., • ft. Stokes, Esq., M.P.C., (foreman) E. B.ittersl.ee, Wm. Bowler, M.P.C., W. LI. E. Brown, W. Bis'iop, G. G. Carlyon, G. Crawford, J Kebbell, W S. Loxley, Thos. Mason, G. Tarnbr.ll and J H. W.ilUce, E<q?., W. W. Taylor, Esq , (tie Doputy Superintendent) was excused from attendance on the ground of public business, as also VV. At. Bannatyne, Esq , o'i tha ground of ill health.

His Honor then proceeded to deliver an exceedingly able and eloquent Charge to the Grand Jury, which, although in type, we are ri-ry reluctantly obliged to omit for W»Ut of s/>ace.

After somj few further comnonts by His Honor on the cases that would be presented for their consideration the Grand Jury retired, aii'l in the course of tiie day returned into Court vvitli fndings as follows, in the cases of lie^iua v White, Felony, a true Bill. „ * Messor „ > vJ. Smith, Larceny „ v James Quinty and W. Hardcastle The Grau<l Jury ignored this Bill.
