The barque Stirling, Captain Rowe, from London via the Cape of Good Hope, arrived in this harbour on Wednesday morning last, after a protracted passage of 120 days. She sailed from the Downs on the sth March, and experienced extremely boisterous weather. A portion of her bulwarks having been carried away in a gale of wind, she bore up t0 ie Ccipe to repair damages ; and after a detention of 15 days, sailed again for this port on the 12th May. She brings a full cargo of general merchandise ; but no passengers ; and is consigned to Messrs. W. Bowler, Son, and Co. The barque Kinnaird, from London bound to Otago, was at the Cape when the Stirling left. By the Stirling, we have received Cape papers up to the 7th May. By this opportunity we learn that the steamer Lyttelton, for whose safety serious apprehensions were entertained, in consequence ot the long time she has been on her voyage, arrived at Table Bay, on the 29th April, having put in for water and coals. She saj^ed again on the let May, and put into Symon's Bay the following day. The' Lyttelton is a small paddle steamer of 49 tons, and commanded by E. Column. She sailed from London on the 26th August, 1859, for Lyttelton, New Zealand, beingintended for the. coasting trade; and put into Fernando Po and Ilondcklip Bay, previous to her arrival at the Cape. H. I. F. M. line-of-battle ship, the Dupperre, the last of the ships with troops from France to China, had been into Table Bay, and gone on her way to tlve theatre of war. She is to be used as a hospital ship in the China .seas. — Cap,: Monitor. The 1.C.1t.M. Company's steamer Prince Alfred, Capt. Bowdcn, with the European and Colonial mails, sailed from this port on Monday afternoon last. She had 19 cabin and and 2S steerage pas aengers.
