The shareholders are requested to be present at 7 o'clock, in order to select a Commits? of 12 competent persons holding shares, to manners nurf see that all is properly done, aft*»r the following manner : — There is to be two bags, one to contnin 100 checks, numbered from 1 an to 100. nnd the other to contain 100 cheeks, with the names of the prizes on. The Committee to see that the Checks are pioperly put into the batrs. There will be two boys or girls, about ten yearn of ap;e, one to each bap. one to draw the numbers, and the other to draw the prizes, the numbers to be drawn first, and then a prize ; then the person who holds the corresponding numbered ticket, claims the prize drawn to that number, and so on till all is drawn. Two or more of the Committee will have to set down the number drawn, and the name of the prize drawn to each number, till all is drnwn. The Committee will have the power to decide what the winner of the Harmonium is expected to give. Tickets to be had at the Office of this Paper, and of Mr. Storey's, Clay Point, Mr. Rotermund's, Victoria Hotel, at Mr. P. Laing's, Lambton Quay, and of W. Bentlism. LENDERS will be received at this office, until tb» 30th April, 1860, from persons desirous of contracting for the performance of the Overland Mail Service between Wellington and New Plymonth, for the twelve months commencing the Ist July, lßflO, and ending the 30th Jane, 1861, subject to the following terms and conditions :— Ist. The Contractor to tnke the Mails from the Post office in Wellington at 2 p.m., etery Monday, and deliver them at the Post-office New Plymouth by I p.m., on the following Saturday. 2nd. To take the Mails from the Post-office in New Plymouth, at 2 p.m., every Monday, and deliver them at the Post office, Wellington, by 11 a.m., on the following Saturday. 3rd. To take up and deliver Mnils at the Post offices at the following intermediate places, viz. ; — Wanganui, Turnkina, Rangitiki, Manawatu, Otaki, Wnikanai, Pahautanui, and Porirua. 4th. To deliver the Wellington Mail in Wanganui every Wednesday, by 3. p.m. sth To start from Wanganui for Wellington at 12 o'clock, noon, on every Thursday. 6th.
