CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

A Special General Meeting of this body was held on Tuesday last, at. !the offices of Messrs. Bethune and Hunter; but in consequence.of the lamented death iff Aj C. • M'Donald, Esq., Manager of the Union Bank of Australia; who was a.member of, the Committee of the Chamber, the business set down for the day was postponed until .Wednesday, the 29th inst., and the meeting confined itself to passing the following resolution expressive of its deep sympathy for the family of the deceased gentleman, and .its appreciation. of his estimable qualities.. ~ ' ..;.-...
