Ist.—All the articles to be of the best quality of thoir several kind-.. 2nd. —The Flour to be the produce of clean somul Colonial Wheat, from which 20 per ceut. in bran has beeu extracted. 3rd,—The Bread to be mado from Flour of the same quality as described iv the preceding paragraph, and to be baked 24 hours before being issued, in loaves 2 lbs; each. 4th.—The Fresh Ment to be issued daily, to be delivered in fore and hind quarters alternately, when the quantity admits of it. When Beef is issued, six inches to be cut oil' the hough and neck bones. sth.—The Mixed Vegetables for the Hospitals and other Establishments entitled thereto, shall be supplied in reasonable proportions of Greens, Onions, &o. Oth.—Tho Firewood to be exclusively of Manuka, Bata, or other hard wood, well seasoned, split and cut into lengths offour feet. Parlies Tendering are requested to observe that Ihe most rigid adherence to these conditions will be invariably enforced. MODE OF DELIVERY. 7th.—No part whatever of the supplies above specified, .-.hull be received in charge of the Commissariat, but shall be delivered by the Contractor direct to tho persons entitled there to, nt anyplace within the limits of the Town or of the several Districts, upon the written Order of the Commissariat Officer in Charge, or of any person authorised by him for that purpose. General Conditions. Bth.—Each Tender sent in, in consequence of this Advertisement, to be accompanied by a statement signed by two competent Persons, expressin" their readiness, in the event of such Tender being accepted, to become security for its due performaiicc. The Penalty of the Bond to be given will bo equal to the estimated Amount of Three Months' Supplies. Ami it is to be understood that the sureties will bo held strictly responsible for the fulfilment of the Contractor's engagements, nny failure in which will be immediately followed by the enforcement of the penalty of the Bond. The Expences of preparing the necessary Deeds of Bond and Agreement to be borne by the Contractor. Oth.—Tho Contractor for Firewood mifst have constantly on hand at Wellington, or any of the out stations, a Stock sufficient for Fourteen Dtivs consumption, from which alone tho issues are to be made. This Stock to be at all times subject to the inspection of the Commissariat, and all wood objected lo at such inspection must be immediately removed. 10th. —Separate Tenders will be received for supplying any of tho above mentioned Districts. lltb.—Tenders for tho Supplies required at Wellington, Wanganui, ami the Distriot of Porirua, as above specified, may be sent in for the whole' or any portion of them,excepting those under the head of Hospitals, which must in each case be included in one Tender. And the same Regulation will apply to those for Ships of War. No Tender will'be required for supplying Firewood at Wanganui. 'The engagement for this service will bo entered into «ith the Commissariat Ollicer at that Post. 12th.—The Contractor to prcparo his own Account according to the prescribed form, and on the production thereof at this Office, with the requisite Vouchers, in a complete state, will receive payment Monthly, by a Bill or Bills upon the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, at par, when the Amount is Fifty Pounds or upwards •' when under that amount, payment will be made iv Cash. I3lh.—ln the event of any Article offered bein" objected to as not complying wilh these conditions', it will be submitted to a Board of Officers, to be' appointed by the Officer Commanding the Troops. If condemned by the Board, and the Contractor shall not immediately furnish an unobjectionable article in lieu of the one rejected, the Commissariat Officer may either cause the same to be supplied at the Contractor's exponse, or forthwith enforce the penalty of the Bond. 14th.—It shall be in the power of either party to limit the duration of the Contract, by giving in writing a notice of Three Calendar Mouths to the other party, and to end the Contract at the expiration of that period, it being understood that suoh notice can he given only from tho first day of a month and witbin the period for which the Contract is made or agreed to be made.
