For Public meetings, and for re-unions of every description, the Hall of the|lnstitntion will be found of the highest importance. They intend, with the assistance of intelligent settlers, founding a Public School, not sectarian, but devoted to the education of children of all casses ar.d creeds. Trom the revenue of the Building, it is intended to set apart such a sum as shall secure the services of an intelligent teacher, so that children may be taught at such a moderate figure as will enable the poorest man in the place to give his little onestbat instruction without which there is great danger of their becoming a prey to society in afterlife. ~ ... A Library will be provided, to which yearly additions will be made, and subscribers to the Building will be enabled to have at all times access to the books. : Subscribers names will be received at the officeof the Independent, at Mr. Lyori's, at Mr. Roe's, at Messrs!
