Wesleyant Bishops.—lt is rumoured that the Wesleyans are about taking steps which will totally change the constitution of Methodism, and, if persevered in, will shake the sooiety to its foundation. The aristocratio portion seem desirous that they should be worshipped and venerated, not for their virtues, but by virtue of their office. They contemplate a creation of bishops, having permanent locations, in given districts, and their most clever preachers to take charge of the richest congregations, reserving those of medium talent for country and poorer chapels. They appear to have a desire to supersede the local preachers by travelling preachers.— Leeds Times.
