Tuesday, December 15, 1843. Before H. St. Hill, E-q. James Davis, boatman, was brought up on remand, charged with stealing from tho person of William Thompson, (a young man from Hawk's Bay, who waa about taking his pa«*age on board l ' lo schooner Bandicoot for Hobart Town.) the sum of 23sovereign*. After a lengthened examination tho prisoner was fully committed to take his irial at the next silting-* of the Supreme Coint,' anil ihtf witnesses were severally bound over i<> prosecute.
