Schooner Margaret, 40 tons, Cross. H.M.S. Calliope, 2ti guns, Captain Stanley. Schooner Ocean, 30 tons, Ferguson. - Cutter Catherine Ann, 18 tons; Cemino. Schooner Robert Burns, 25 tons, Matthews. Schooner Gipsey,lß tons, Storey. Schooner Susannah Ann, 79 tons, Hensley. Barque Kestrel, 325 tons, Beauvaie. The Kestrel saw a brig off Taranaki on Sunday last, standing as if bound to some port in the Straits. The Kestrel experienced a gale from the S. E. off Cape Egmont, which lasted four days. The cutter Royal William is laid on in Sydney for Hobart Town. The Comet wsa laid on as a Cattle vessel between Port -Albert and Hobart Town. No vessel of wir was lying iii Port Jackson. The schooner Fanny Morris had not arrived in Syd.iey when the Kestrel left. The Fanny Morris left Nelson, we believe, about the 10:h of May, and the Kestrel left Port Jackson on the 31st, which' gives 21 days for the pissage of thd former vessel. The Shamrock w.is 29 days going- up, so that we do not think there is any reason to be alarmed for the safety of the Faany Morris. The .barque Kestrel, for Port Nicholson, lna now the whole of her stock on board, namely, 115. head of cuttle, 250 sheep, and 5 horses.—Australian. The Shamrock has met with very bid weather \ since leaviDg Port Nicholson, having been 29 days on the passage. She was compelled to put into Trial Bay on Friday laet, from strong southerly w,nds,. which place she left o.i Monday. Tha passengers were brought rou id in the' Thistle steamer. The barque Regia was sold in Sydney tbr^lQOO. The schooner Ariel has been sold in Sydney for £80). The Flibberty made the passage from Sydney to Hong K)ng in thirty.nine daye. Six vessels were bil on in Sydney for London, ani One fjr France. The barque Samuel Boddipgton, from Auckland, arrived at Sydney on the 2<j;'h May. The schooner Terror and the b.ig Maukin were laid on at Sydney for Auckland. Tlie whaling brig Tigress of Sydney, succeeded in taking 1000 barrels of sperm oil in lass than 12 months. She could have taken 600 barrels more, but was cut of casks. The whalers g nerally off the Australian coast had been vary successful.
