Temperance.—The Total Abstinence p.oplo held their u<ual annual festival, on ihu evening of Thursday the 22nd inst There was a pivtty good attendance. A very good tea Avas provided, and that part of the proceedings ended, the other business was proceeded wi h. A chairman was chosen, a very excellent report was road. The Rev. J. Inglis addressed the meeting and was followed hy others, who if not bo able were quite as hearty in tho cause as hiujsilf.' The meeting wus culi-
voned with some very good singing accompanied by several musical instruments. The Total Abstainers are in good heart, andwe wi»h them success in their crusade against drunkenness.
